Dodgeball's rules are simple and easy-to-learn. For example, players must protect themselves from direct headshots. They must also protect themselves against dead balls. A referee can enforce these rules. When a player is eliminated, the game ends. This game was originally played in gyms or camps. There are rules that must be adhered to in competitive games but dodgeball is an easy game that can be played wherever there is internet access. You can choose to line up players or create teams.

Players must be cautious about taking direct headshots.

Players must take evasive measures to prevent a player getting a direct shot at their head. Direct headshot refers to when the ball directly hits a player's head without making any contact. The ball cannot touch anything prior to striking a player's forehead. However, it can bounce off the body of the player or his hands before hitting their head. The player must also be in an upright position at the time of being hit. Any action which takes the player out from this position immediately negates the headshot.

Players in dodgeball must guard themselves against direct headshots. A dead ball is one that the ball hits the player's head directly. If the player takes a direct headshot while standing upright, the player is safe. However, any player being hit in the forehead while prone will be called to attention.

Dead balls

Dead balls are balls that have not been thrown into play during an actual game. They are used in order to prevent multiple hits from the same object. A small court with a centerline and two sideslines is used for dodgeball games. The game is self-refereed and is governed by honour rules. However, there are four referees that are stationed at the end of the centerline. The referees will count the number of players who have the ball, as well as confirm hits. Each team starts with one ball. The two balls are placed in the center line of the court. Each team has five seconds to release a ball.

A dodge ball is considered dead if it crosses the line of the boundary. This means that the player who has crossed the boundary line is out. If a player steps on the boundary of another team's line, they are out.

Unsportsmanlike conduct

Participants must observe certain rules for dodgeball. Participants must wear a shirt and shorts without sharp metal parts. A referee is required to be present throughout the game in order to keep the game going and to ensure that players are safe. Referees also have the responsibility of deciding on contested play. The decisions of the referees cannot be appealed. If a player is found violating the rules they will be warned. Depending on the severity of the violation, the referee can call a technical foul.

Participant who engages dangerous throwing behavior will be kicked out of the game. The referee will notify players who engage with dangerous throwing behavior. If they do, the ball will be handed over to the opposing side. A dangerous throw is one that is higher than the head or very close to it. This offense will result in a player being ejected from the match and will prevent him/her from participating in any other games.

Overtime rules

Dodgeball, a sport that involves players trying to catch a ball live before it touches ground, is one example. The court is the boundary of play. Players are to stay within it. Players are also out if they touch the ground across the center line, or if they attempt to kick the dodgeball. If the game ends in a tie, overtime can be played to determine the winner.

Each team may only retrieve three (3) balls to their right of the center hash, and they must be behind their attack line before legal throwing. Each team has a three minute time limit for overtime. The winning team will have more players.

Neutral zone

The neutral zone in dodgeball is the space around the court's centreline. This area is where players can walk or hit, but they will be out of the game if they cross it. While there are several offensive and defensive strategies you can use to attack your opponent inside the neutral zone but players should avoid being touched or hit.

Two teams of six are required to play the game. Each team owns the balls that are on the other side of the court. Within 10 seconds, the team that has the most balls must give it up. Each team has two ball retrievers that can collect off-court balls. For interfering with other teams' balls or entering the neutral zone, ball retrievers will be sent off.
