
Those who love pool are probably familiar with the Valley National 8-Ball League Association (VNEA), which has nearly 100, 000 individual members and a host of weekly local leagues in over 400 different cities. It is the world's largest amateur league and plays in 36 US states as well as 36 other countries. VNEA is also an entertainment business that generates huge amounts of revenue. Apart from participating in local leagues the players are also eligible to compete in Valley National 8-Ball League Association international championships. These championships take place every year between May 27 and June 5.
Players can compete in leagues based upon their skill level as a member or associate of the Valley National 8-Ball League Association. Every league has a captain who collects league fees and keeps score sheets. The captain coordinates all activities and ensures that everyone understands the rules. The captain also helps the team prepare for events, and is responsible for collecting scores.

The VNEA has a reputation for promoting good sportsmanship. The VNEA has awarded the Sportsmanship Award to its members, which is voted upon by them. The league promotes the business of its sponsors. VNEA Pool Leagues offer friendly competition and players will be playing against each other in round-robin format matches. Shane Bloomberg, another pool player, has a long and impressive record in the VNEA. He is the grandson of Jeanie, Gary, and Jeanie. Shane was an active participant in the VNEA from the age of nine. He has become one of most respected pool players worldwide. He is a regular contender in the Pro Tour, and is expected to be named Player of the Decade in 2020.
