Dafabet is once more the title sponsor of World Pool Masters. Dafabet is a partner of a variety of well-known sports brands like Celtic FC, Norwich City FC, Warwickshire County Cricket Team, Warwickshire County Cricket Team, and Celtic FC. Dafabet also sponsors The British Fast5 Netball All-Stars Championship. It was also the title sponsor of World Pool Masters 2017 & 2019.
The 2020 World Pool Masters will be held in Gibraltar, featuring 24 of the world's best players for a $100,000 prize fund. Matchroom Pool Club subscribers get tickets on Monday December 9, and the general public on Tuesday December 10. David Alcaide, last year's champion will defend his title against a stellar field of players.
Dafabet World pool Masters
Dafabet extended its title sponsorship contract for the World Pool Masters. The tournament will be held in Gibraltar from 22 to 25 May 2019. The company was a title sponsor of the World Pool Masters in 2017 and 2018. In addition, Dafabet has other sporting sponsorship deals. In the past, the company has partnered with LaLiga football tournament and also with the Sussex cricket side Durham.
The Dafabet World Pool Masters is an international nine-ball pool competition. It is the most popular event of its kind, and it has increased the prize money for the winner each year. The prize money for this year's event was $100,000. David Alcaide from Spain won the tournament. Alcaide beat Alexander Kazakis of Greece by twice the length in the final. Niels Féijen beat Shane Van Boening last year to reach the final of the previous year’s event. David Alcaide also lost to the Dutchman in round 1.
Joshua Filler
Joshua Filler is a bonen-based German pool player. Filler, 21, has won the China Open title and the European Pool Championships 10-ball. He is also the youngest person to win one of these two competitions. He not only won the China Open but is also the youngest European Pool Championships winner.
Filler started playing the sport aged seven and was already competing on the national level. At the age of twenty-five, Filler made his Mosconi Cup debut. Europe was represented at the event. He went on to win both the China Open 9 ball tournament and the European Pool Championship. The next year, he won his first world championship, defeating Italian Carlo Biado in the final. In addition to the World Pool Masters title, he won the Mosconi Cup and the World Cup of Pool. He also won the US Open Pool Championship.
Lo Ho-sum
Lo Hosum, the first Hong Kong player to make it to the World Pool Masters finals, expressed concerns over a recent budget cut. He remains unknown outside of Hong Kong despite his recent success. Lo was a wild-card participant in the Gibraltar tournament and won a series of matches to reach final. In the quarterfinals, Lo defeated Shane Van Boening. But, in the final, he lost to Joshua Filler. Before Lo's heroics, the pair was tied at six.
The World Pool Masters is a nineball competition that is held every year in order to determine the best pool players worldwide. The event was first held in Europe but expanded to include players from other parts of the world. Lo has a strong professional record and has held a high ranking throughout his career.
Sanchez Ruiz
Francisco Sanchez Ruiz has won the 2022 US Open Pool Championship, defeating fellow Spanish player Max Lechner 13-10 in the final. The win puts him at the top of the Live Nineball World Rankings and earns him $50,000 in the first prize. It also makes Sanchez Ruiz the first Spanish player to win one of pool's oldest majors. Sanchez Ruiz was also awarded the $100,000 milestone, surpassing Shane Van Boening.
Sanchez Ruiz had a lot of difficult moments against Filler. But he was able get over his initial nerves to win the game after completing two racks consecutively. Sanchez Ruiz was able to win with a buffer of two racks after Filler battled back to take a lead of three points.
