Pool is one of the world's most popular sports. It can be played on a number of different sized tables. It's a challenging game, and it requires a lot of skill. There are many varieties of pool. Most popular are eight ball and continuous pool. These games require a high level skill and can also be played in a singles, doubles, or team sport.
The game's goal is to put all the designated balls. This includes the eight-ball, cue ball and other object balls. Each player receives one of two pockets at each end of the table. They will continue until they are fouled or miss. The foul must be committed by the player. A number of fouls could occur such as hitting the cueball into an item ball, breaking, hitting it into a ball, making an illegal break or performing a jump.
The World Standardized Rules of Pool are the official rules. They are used by many international tournaments and organisations, as well the Billiard Convention of America. If a foul is committed the ball that was taken must be returned to the pocket and the opponent's cue ball pocketed counts as a point.

Eight-ball is where you try to grab the black eight balls. Depending upon the game variation, the other balls may be numbered 1-9. If a player takes the ball out of his pocket, he wins.
A normal foul is penalized with a minus point. The ball must immediately be racked if it is caught in the middle of a foul. The player may decide to return to the same position as before the foul by taking his next shot. The player may also decide to keep the shot. However, if the opponent places the ball into his pocket, he will get a points.
Another type is the ball and hand foul. This happens when the ball is touched by a player without his or her foot touching the floor. A player must announce the ball that was pocketed before taking a shot. The ball that was lost in foul must be returned to the player who pocketed it.
Any player who commits 2 fouls in a row should be warned before taking the next shot. The third foul will result is a forfeiture of the game. If a player is caught breaking in the first inning, they will receive a minus of -10.

Another type of foul is a non-player interference. Non-player interference is when the ball is pushed, bumped or thrown by an opponent or unscheduled lighting fixture. Non-player interference does not count if the ball is pocketed in the course or a foul.
