
CueSports International operates the BCA Pool League, which was originally operated by the Billiard Congress of America. The BCA Pool League, an umbrella membership organization that supports pool leagues all over the world, is operated by CueSports International. The BCA Pool League has more than 50,000 members, and there are over 500 leagues across eight countries.
The BCA Pool League, the oldest pool league sanctioning organisation in the globe, is still being operated by the BCA. CueSports International bought the BCA Pool League in 2004. The organization operates in Canada through more than 450 leagues and is well-known in other countries.
BCA Pool League rules are designed to accommodate team play. A maximum of eight players can be in a team. Each player may only play one or more games per round. Players must be members of the BCA. All players must agree to a Code of Conduct and Ethics. The organization also has a Hall of Fame that honors great players.

In 1978, the BCA Pool League was founded to unify all independent leagues in the world. It was created to bring pool leagues together with economies of size. It has grown to be a major force in pool, with more than 450 leagues spread across eight countries. It is also a major sponsor of WPBA Tour, the top pool tournament in North America.
The BCA Pool League rules were designed to allow for fair play and to promote good sportsmanship. Terry Bell and Larry Hubbart created the league. They were professional pool players. In 1981, they established the American Poolplayers Association. It has two international affiliates, The World Pool-Billiard Association WPBA and the Japanese Poolplayers Association JPA.
The BCA Pool League offers nine-ball as well as eight-ball play on regulation 9 foot tables. The points system is used to determine the outcome of the nine-ball matches. To win, each player must score two points or more. To win the eight-ball, players need to be at least three levels of skill. Eight points are awarded to the player who wins more games in a round. Matches must be played within 3 weeks of being postponed. If the opponent is unable or unwilling to play in the scheduled time, they will lose the match.
Players must register and pay dues to the BCA Pool League. All dues paid must clearly be indicated on score sheets. Scores will be canceled if a player fails to pay all dues.

BCA Pool League rules also incorporate "Applied Rulings", which are large-scale tournament administration. These rules include a lag timing rule that states that the ball should be shot when the ball of an opponent contacts the foot cushion.
The league director has the authority to place players. He or she is also responsible to ensure that the competitive levels of all divisions are comparable. The league director has the responsibility of ensuring that all participants are treated equally and that no player is favored over another.
The BCA Pool League rules also include an APA handicapping system known as the "Equalizer". This system is designed to give each player a fair chance to win.
