Protect yourself from headshots

The ball should not have touched anything in the vicinity of the player's head before it hits them. However, the ball may deflect off the players' bodies or hands. Also, the ball must not have touched anything before hitting a player's head. Any action that moves the player from this position will automatically negate the headshot.
Dodgeball players must be careful not to take direct headshots. If the ball strikes a player's head and leaves the thrower's hands, it is considered dead. A player can take a headshot while standing straight. However, any player being hit in the forehead while prone will be called to attention.
Dead balls
Dead balls are balls that are not thrown into play during a game. These balls are used for ensuring that players do not receive multiple hits from a single object. A dodgeball game is played in a small area with two sides and a centerline. The game is primarily self-refereed and governed by honour rules. However, there are four referees that are stationed at the end of the centerline. The referees will count the number of players who have the ball, as well as confirm hits. Each team begins with one ball. Two balls are placed at the center of the court. Each team has a 5-second grace period before releasing the ball.
If a dodgeball is thrown from a team, it will automatically be deemed dead ball if it crosses beyond the boundary line. This means that any player who crosses the boundary of the opposing team is out. To be considered a player, they must keep their ball in the air for ten seconds.
Unsportsmanlike conduct
Every participant must follow certain rules when playing dodgeball. Participants must wear shorts or shirts that don't have any sharp metal parts and must also not wear jewelry during dodgeball. A referee watches over the game to ensure safety and keep it moving. Referees also have the responsibility of deciding on contested play. The decisions of the referees cannot be appealed. Any participant who engages in dangerous throwing behavior will forfeit the game. This behavior will result in the game being forfeited. Throws that are too close to or high from the head of another player are considered dangerous. Throwing players who are caught in this manner will be ejected and they will be banned from all future games.
Overtime rules

You can attack your opponent from the neutral zone with a variety offensive and defensive tactics, but you must not get hit or touched.
There are two teams of six playing on the court. The balls on either side of the court are the teams's property. Within 10 seconds, the team that has the most balls must give it up. Both teams have two ball retrievers to collect off-court balls. If a ball retriever is found interfering or stepping in the neutral zone, they will be removed from the game.
