The Billiard Congress of America is a national organization that promotes billiards and organizes pool players. It is headquartered near Broomfield, Colorado. There is also a branch in Atlanta. BCA is involved with all aspects of the sport. They have been instrumental in promoting snooker as well as 3-Cushion.
BCA also serves as a governing body, providing input and oversight on tournament rules and specifications. BCA not only plays an important role in sanctioning tournaments but also provides educational resources as well as leadership opportunities to promote pool and the game.
The BCA has played a large role in the promotion of the game of pool, and has been a prominent organizer of billiard sports in the United States for more than a century. The organization promotes pool by offering leadership opportunities and education, as well as scholarships that support the next generation. The Billiard Congress of America Hall of Fame recognizes exceptional players and contributes.
The Official Rules and Records Book (or Official Rules and Records Book) is one of the many activities that the organization has undertaken. This concise rulebook contains the standardized rules utilized by the World Pool-Billiard association (WPA). It also has a book that details the rules of various other games. The U.S. Open 14.1 Championships are also promoted by the BCA.
The BCA also promotes and sanctions championship tournaments. It's also the governing body for pocket billiards in the United States. Every year, BCA holds a tradeshow that displays a wide variety products including billiards barstools, casual furnishings, and other cues.
The BCA has also organized the BCA Pool League, which is a league sanctioning organization. More than 450 leagues are sanctioned in the United States, as well as eight other countries. It hosts the BCAPL National 8-Ball Championships. There are 22 divisions. BCAPL's membership is also more than 50,000.

While it doesn't have as much focus on league play, the BCA is a strong supporter of the game. It offers education resources, leadership opportunities, referral services, and other support.
