Dafabet once again will be the title sponsorship of the World Pool Masters. Online sports betting platform Dafabet has partnered with several high-profile sports brands including Celtic FC and Norwich City FC. Dafabet is also the title sponsor for the British Fast5 Netball All-Stars Championship. Dafabet was previously the title sponsor for the World Pool Masters 2017 and 2019.
Gibraltar hosts the 2020 World Pool Masters. 24 of top pool players will compete for $100,000. The tournament tickets will be available for purchase on Monday, December 9, to Matchroom Pool Club members, and Tuesday, December 10, to the public. Last year's champion, David Alcaide, will be looking to defend his title against a world-class field of stars.
Dafabet Pool Masters
Dafabet's title sponsorship has been extended for the World Pool Masters. The tournament will take places in Gibraltar 22-25 May 2019. The company was the title sponsor of World Pool Masters 2017-2018. Dafabet also has other sponsorship deals. In the past, Dafabet has partnered both with LaLiga's football tournament and with Durham's Sussex cricket side.

Dafabet World Pool Masters consists of an international nine-ball pool contest. It is the most prestigious event of its kind and has raised the amount of prize money for each year's winner. The prize money for this year's event was $100,000. The tournament was won by David Alcaide, a Spaniard. In the final, Alcaide beat Greek Alexander Kazakis by double the final ball's length. Niels Féijen beat Shane Van Boening last year to reach the final of the previous year’s event. In the first round, David Alcaide was also defeated by the Dutchman.
Joshua Filler
Joshua Filler, a Bonen-based German pool player, is making waves within the professional pool world. The 21-year old has won both the China Open and 10-ball European Pool Championships. He is the youngest player to win either one of these competitions. He not only won the China Open but is also the youngest European Pool Championships winner.
Filler began playing the sport when he was seven years old and was already competing at national level. At age twenty, he made his Mosconi Cup debut and represented Europe at the event. He was crowned the winner of the China Open 9,-ball tournament, and the European Pool Championship (ten-ball). He defeated Italian Carlo Biado in his final to win his second world championship. He not only won the World Pool Masters but also the Mosconi Cup (the World Cup of Pool) and the US Open Pool Championship.
Lo Ho-sum
Lo Ho-sum is the first Hong Kong pool players to reach the World Pool Masters final. Despite his recent success, he is still relatively unknown in his homeland. Lo was an unofficial wild-card player to the Gibraltar tournament. He won a number of matches and reached the final. In the quarterfinals, Lo defeated Shane Van Boening. But, in the final, he lost to Joshua Filler. They were tied at six before Lo's heroics ended the match.

The World Pool Masters is an annual nine-ball competition that determines the best pool players in the world. The original event was held in Europe. However, it has expanded to include players of other parts. Lo has a very solid professional record. He has also maintained a high ranking all through his career.
Sanchez Ruiz
Francisco Sanchez Ruiz, a Spanish player, has won the 2022 US Open Pool Championship. In the final, he defeated Max Lechner (13-10). This win places him at the top on the Live Nineball World Rankings. He also receives $50,000 as the first award. Sanchez Ruiz is also the first Spanish player ever to win one of the oldest majors in pool. Sanchez Ruiz's win also saw him surpass Shane Van Boening at the $100,000 mark.
Sanchez Ruiz faced many challenges against Filler. After making two consecutive racks, Sanchez Ruiz was able overcome his nerves and won the match. Sanchez Ruiz came out on top with a 2-rack buffer, after Filler had fought back.
