Dafabet once again will be the title sponsorship of the World Pool Masters. Online sports betting platform Dafabet has partnered with several high-profile sports brands including Celtic FC and Norwich City FC. Dafabet also sponsors the British Fast5 Netball All-Stars Championship. It was the title sponsor of World Pool Masters 2017, 2018 and 2019.
Gibraltar will host the 2020 World Pool Masters. This tournament will feature 24 top players from around the world for a $100,000 prize. Tickets for the tournament will go on sale on Monday, December 9 to Matchroom Pool Club subscribers and on Tuesday, December 10, to the general public. David Alcaide last year was the champion and will be defending his title against a top-notch field of players.
Dafabet Pool Masters
Dafabet's title sponsorship has been extended for the World Pool Masters. The tournament will take place in Gibraltar between 22 and 25 May 2019. The title sponsor of World Pool Masters 2017, 2018 and 2018, Dafabet was also present. Dafabet also has sponsorship deals in other sports. The company has also partnered with LaLiga, a football tournament in Spain, and Durham Cricket Club in England.
Dafabet World Pool Masters (a nine-ball pool tournament) is an international competition. It is the most prestigious event of its kind and has raised the amount of prize money for each year's winner. This year, the prize fund was $100,000. David Alcaide, an American, won the tournament. Alcaide beat Alexander Kazakis from Greece in the final by doubling the length of his final ball. Niels Feijen defeated Shane Van Boening to reach the final in the previous event. David Alcaide was also defeated in round one.
Joshua Filler
Joshua Filler, a Bonen German pool player, has made waves in the world professional pool. The 21-year old has won both the China Open and 10-ball European Pool Championships. He is the youngest person ever to win these two competitions. He is the youngest person to win the European Pool Championships.
Filler started playing the sport at age seven and was already competing at the national level. At age twenty, he made his Mosconi Cup debut and represented Europe at the event. After his Mosconi Cup appearance, he went on to win the China Open 9-ball tournament and the ten-ball European Pool Championship. The next year, he won his first world championship, defeating Italian Carlo Biado in the final. He not only won the World Pool Masters but also the Mosconi Cup (the World Cup of Pool) and the US Open Pool Championship.
Lo Ho-sum
Lo Ho-sum was the first Hong Kong pool player who reached the World Pool Masters final. He expressed concern about a recent budget reduction. He is still relatively unknown outside his home country despite his recent success in the sport. Lo was a wild-card participant in the Gibraltar tournament and won a series of matches to reach final. In the quarterfinals, he defeated Shane Van Boening but fell to Joshua Filler. Lo's heroics brought an end to the tie at six.
The World Pool Masters is a nineball competition that is held every year in order to determine the best pool players worldwide. The event was first held in Europe but expanded to include players from other parts of the world. Lo has a very strong professional record and has maintained a good ranking throughout his career.
Sanchez Ruiz
Francisco Sanchez Ruiz won the 2022 US Open Pool Championship. He defeated Max Lechner 13-10 in final. This victory places him at number one in the Live Nineball World Rankings. It also earns him $50,000 for the first prize. Sanchez Ruiz also became the first Spanish player to win the pool's oldest major. Sanchez Ruiz passed Shane Van Boening by winning the $100,000 mark.
Sanchez Ruiz had to battle through a number of tough moments against Filler. He managed to overcome his initial nerves after making two consecutive racks. Sanchez Ruiz won with a two-rack buffer after Filler came back to tie the score at three points.
