Saris beats Albin in the Dynamic Billard Veldhoven Open
The Dynamic Billard Veldhoven Open began with the individual 9-ball competition. The Netherlands' largest sports channel, Ziggo Sports Channel will broadcast the first match live. There will be a semi final and the ultimate.
Ivar Saris beat Albin Ouschan, in a thrilling match. Albin won nine out ten of the ten points needed to win. To reach the knockout round, Albin will next face the winner in the Erol Kayas-vs Michel Bartol match.
David Alcaide loses to Shane Van Boening during the Dynamic Billard Veldhoven Open
The Dynamic Billard Veldhoven Open has reached its final phase and Shane Van Boening is still in the running for the title. American had previously won the Predator World 10-ball Championship. Joshua Filler (reigning World Pool and Billiards Association nine-ball champion) will be his opponent in the final. Both men survived difficult draw conditions. Filler won against Gerson Martinez, Peru. Van Boening faced Fedor Gorst, Russia. Filler was able to win the second phase matches by four games.
Van Boening ranked first in the 64-player bracket. He had spent hours practicing his break shot in Qatar. He managed to beat his first four opponents with ease, winning by a score of 44-14. He beat Orcollo in the first round, and went on to beat David Alcaide in the next round.
