Wu, who was known in his youth as "Chiachung Wu", won the World 9-Ball Championship by beating Ouschan (Austria's number one) in the finals. Wu won the World Eight-Ball Championship and was second in the World ten-ball Championship.

He was also the youngest player to win the China Open, and in the following year he won the European Pool Championship. In 2019, he won the WPA World 9-ball Championship and the Leende Open. He also claimed the first position in the US Open 9-ball championship.

The Dynamic Billard Veldhoven Open has commenced with the 9-ball individual competition. The first match will be broadcast live on Ziggo Sports Channel, the Netherlands' biggest sports channel. There will be a semi-final and the final.
Albin Ouschan beat Ivar Saris in a thrilling match. Albin won nine out of ten points to take the win. To reach the knockout round, Albin will next face the winner in the Erol Kayas-vs Michel Bartol match.

Shane Van Boening beats David Alcaide in the Dynamic Billard Veldhoven Open
The Dynamic Billard Veldhoven Open will be ending in its final phase. Shane Van Boening could win the title. American had previously won the Predator World 10-ball Championship. In the final, he will face Joshua Filler, the World Pool and Billiards Association 9 ball champion. Both men had survived challenging draw conditions, though. Filler won the final round against Gerson Martnez of Peru, and Van Boening met Fedor Gorst from Russia. Filler was up to 6-2, while the Americans led the first phase matches.
Van Boening was ranked as the top seed in 64-player bracket. He spent hours practicing his shot at break in Qatar. He used this to easily beat his first four opponents. The combined score was 44-14. He defeated Orcollo in round one, and then beat David Alcaide in round two.
