The US Open Pool Championship is an annually held professional nine-ball pool tournament. It has been in existence since 1976. It is widely regarded as one of the best nine-ball titles around the globe. It is considered to be one of the most highly regarded tournaments in pool. In addition to the title, the winner receives $200,000 in prize money.

Max Lechner defeated Chinese Taipei's Ko Ping Chung 6-9

Max Lechner defeated Chinese Taipei'e Ko Ping Chung 6-9 in the US open pool semi-final on Saturday. Lechner's first semi-final appearance was when he jumped onto the first rack.

The win paved the way for Lechner's run to the finals of the US Open Pool Championship, where he'll face Francisco Sanchez Ruiz. Ruiz, a former World No. Lechner was defeated 13-10 by Ruiz in Live Nineball to win the $50,000 First Prize. This is the first win by a Spaniard in the event's history.

Semi-final: Max Lechner defeats Ben Crawley

Max Lechner has had a successful start to the US Open Pool Championship campaign. Max beat Ben Crawley in the semifinal 13-10. The rising star is a German player with an excellent offensive game. He was also among the world's top 4, and at just twenty-one was the youngest Mosconicup winner. His victory also gave him the world no.1 ranking, the highest in the sport.


Max Lechner wins US Open Pool Championship in 2022

Max Lechner, a 21 year-old German player, was named the 2022 US Open Pool Championship winner. He won by four points after a tense final frame. Sanchez Ruiz, playing for Colombia, committed a crucial foul on Lechner’s third shot. Ko had the opportunity to lose time but Lechner managed to win in a match that seemed to be ending in no time.

Dennis Orcollo, Carlo Biado, and Carlo Biado were both finalist and advanced to the quarterfinals. They will face Francisco Sanchez Ruiz (and Ko Ping Chung) in the semifinals.
